The concert and festival hall resembles a seashell that has emerged from the depths onto the shore. Flowing shells and bands of glazing make the large building feel light.
The concept connects contemporary materials and engineering solutions with St. Petersburg's waterscape. Conceived as part of both land and water, the hall becomes a new destination at the boundary of two environments.
02 · Building and site
Water is part
of the architecture.
Instead of conventional waterfront development, the building is surrounded by a water channel. It separates the concert hall from both the land and the open water.
Terraced waterfronts continue the building's rounded geometry. Walking routes, fountains, and waterside seating create a public space around the concert venue.
03 · Concert experience
A stage open
to the gulf.
A stage is concealed inside the shell. A retractable roof section opens it toward the water, allowing audiences on boats in the gulf to watch the performance.
The interior accommodates different formats, from intimate concerts to large productions. The concept includes natural auditorium acoustics; audience circulation and evacuation are part of the planning solution.

04 · Architectural form
Two sides
of one shell.
At the entrance, the shells fan out to reveal glazing. The opposite facade forms a unified stepped silhouette.
