We found a rare alignment of calendar grids and turned a familiar annual format into twelve predictions about the future of medicine.
The brief
A calendar that invites people to look ahead
LOKB's annual calendar needed to remain practical while continuing the brand's human-centered language and offering meaningful insights into medicine.
We developed the concept, selected twelve themes, researched predictions by scientists and futurists, wrote the copy, and created an illustration for each month.
The calendar became a small editorial publication: useful every day and readable as a continuous story about the future of healthcare.
Calendar fact
2020 and 2048 start on the same day
Dates fall on the same weekdays in these two years. The same calendar can be used again twenty-eight years later, in the world it tried to imagine.

That coincidence became the project's structure: the familiar side shows the month, while the reverse explores what medicine might look like by 2048.

Editorial system
Twelve topics, from personalized medicine to surgical robots
Each month has its own text, subject, and color. The illustrations continue LOKB's language while forming a cohesive original series.
Two formats
One story works on the wall and on the desk
We adapted the system for wall flip calendars and desk calendars. The images shown are format visualizations; producing the print run is outside the stated scope of work.
Project outcome
An annual calendar became a forecast to revisit
The alignment of two calendar grids became a clear idea, and twelve predictions became a cohesive editorial and illustration system.
In 2048, the dates on this calendar will work again. It will also be a chance to revisit its predictions about the future of medicine.
