Challenge / MAGUS

The identity needed its own imagery

Product photography Brand photography Art direction Brochure Brand film Music and sound design Video review set design

MAGUS already had a strong premium identity. Our task was to translate that character into original visual content for an exhibition brochure, website, presentations, and video.

We first created a system of product and brand images. The photographs then became the basis for print materials, and the work continued in motion: a short film, original sound, and product review videos.

A standalone shoot evolved into a media language that presents a complex professional product accurately and convincingly while preserving its premium character.

Three photography modes

Precision.
Atmosphere.
Status.

We created three image modes for one communication system. Catalog photography provides an accurate view of the product, artistic images convey the experience of using it, and portraits introduce the people behind the brand.

Precision

Catalog photography without stylistic effects. We designed the lighting to convey shape, material, and every functional detail realistically.

Atmosphere

Stylized images explore not only the product's form but also its feel: directional lighting, color, depth, and the quiet of a laboratory.

Presence

We photographed the team using the same lighting approach. People and products become part of one premium visual world.

Catalog imagery

The product without visual noise

A light background and precise perspective keep the instrument's construction at the center. The image can be used freely in catalogs, on the website, and in presentations.

Print materials

Photography became a system of materials

The first practical task was an informational promotional brochure for exhibitions. Instead of using stock images, we created all the imagery specifically for MAGUS.

Catalog photographs explain the product, brand-image spreads set the rhythm, and portraits reinforce the sense of an international premium brand.

Brand film

Motion, light, and original sound

After the photo shoot, we extended the same visual language into a short brand film, revealing the product through camera movement, reflective metal, optics, and directed light.

We created original music and sound design for the film. Turn on the sound to experience the complete work.

Music within the project

The jingle was created alongside the visuals

The top part of the video shows the final brand film; the bottom shows the jingle being created and performed. Together, they reveal how rhythm, timbre, and pauses were shaped around the microscope's movement, lighting, and editing.

The music was written and performed by OITZMANN, our music production project. For MAGUS, it became part of GORYANIN BROTHERS' broader work on the brand's visual and sonic language.

Video review set design

We designed more than the shot

For a series of microscope video reviews, we created a permanent filming environment: shelving, books, lighting, and decorative objects, with a large brand symbol on the wall.

The set was built at MAGUS's facility at the client's expense. It gives every episode a recognizable background and allows new models to be reviewed consistently without rebuilding the visual world each time.

Product video review series

The review format became part of the brand, too

For the MAGUS microscope range, we developed and filmed a series of detailed product reviews in a set we designed.

Project outcome

A premium product gained its own media language

Starting with imagery for one exhibition brochure, we built a connected system of photography, video, sound, print materials, and a filming environment.

MAGUS can now present its product accurately in catalogs, create an emotional image in advertising, and explain technologies in depth in reviews, without changing visual language from one channel to another.

The first conversation

A complex product should look as convincing as it performs

Tell us which product or technology needs its own visual language. We'll identify what's truly needed: photography, print materials, a film, or a complete content system.
